Support
A human reads every email.
Latch is made by one person. If something's broken, or you just want to say hello, email works best. Replies usually come within two business days.
When you write, including your iOS version, device model, and Latch version from Settings → About helps a lot.
Common questions
The shield didn't appear when I opened Instagram.
Latch uses Apple's Screen Time framework, which occasionally drops its scheduled monitors after iOS updates or low-memory situations. Open Latch — a silent health check runs on every launch and re-registers any missing schedules. If the issue persists, try Reset all data in Settings and re-pick your apps.
Can I get a refund?
App Store refunds are handled by Apple. Use Apple's Report a Problem page. We have no authority to issue refunds directly.
I bought Latch on my iPhone. Can I use it on iPad without paying again?
Yes. Latch is a universal app — the purchase is tied to your Apple ID, not your device. Use "Restore Purchases" in Settings.
Why do you ask for Screen Time permission?
Latch cannot shield apps without it. The permission authorizes Latch (as an individual — not a parental control) to apply restrictions to apps you choose. Your selections stay on your device; Apple's framework handles the actual shielding.
Does Latch work offline?
Yes, entirely. Latch has no server and makes no analytics or telemetry requests. The only network activity is Apple's StoreKit verifying your purchase (see Privacy).
Can I request a feature?
Please do. Email with "feature request" in the subject line.
