Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 April 2026
These terms govern your use of the Latch iOS application ("Latch" or "the app"). By installing or using Latch, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
Who operates Latch
Latch is developed and operated by mkAppLab ("we", "us", or "our"). You can reach us via the contact details on the Support page.
License
Subject to these terms and Apple's App Store terms, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use Latch on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal use. You may not sublicense, sell, or otherwise redistribute the app or any part of it.
Purchase and pricing
- Latch is offered as a one-time in-app purchase through the Apple App Store. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- The launch price is USD 19.99 for a limited "Early Supporter" window; the regular price thereafter is USD 29.99. Prices in other currencies are set by Apple according to its tier pricing and may vary over time. The price you see in the App Store at the moment of purchase is the price you pay.
- All purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple under their App Store refund policy. To request a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem page or contact Apple Support. We have no authority to issue refunds directly, but if Apple escalates a refund-related matter to us, we will respond in good faith.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Latch, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use Latch in a way that violates applicable laws or Apple's App Store Review Guidelines.
- Attempt to interfere with or circumvent Latch's Screen Time integrations for the purpose of harming others.
Screen Time and on-device restrictions
Latch uses Apple's Screen Time framework to shield apps you select during the sessions you start. You authorize these restrictions for your own device; Latch does not offer parental control functionality. You are solely responsible for your use of the shielding features. We provide the tools; you decide when and how to use them.
No warranty
Latch is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not guarantee that Latch will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with all future versions of iOS or iPadOS, or that it will achieve any particular productivity outcome. Software is imperfect; this one may surprise you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Latch, including but not limited to loss of focus, loss of data, missed deadlines, or lost profits. Our total cumulative liability for any claim relating to Latch shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Apple App Store additional terms
The Apple App Store's standard EULA applies to your use of Latch except where these terms add to or modify it, and we rely on the Apple End User License Agreement provisions regarding third-party beneficiaries. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligations whatsoever with respect to Latch. Any claim relating to Latch is strictly between you and us; Apple is not responsible for addressing such claims.
Termination
You may stop using Latch at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue Latch or a specific feature with reasonable notice. In the event we terminate the license for cause (for example, a violation of these terms), your right to use Latch ends immediately.
Privacy
Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, mentioned in Latch's release notes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. The courts of Istanbul, Turkey shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or Latch.
